My ceramic practice explores loss, renewal, and restoration through the philosophy of Kintsugi, where repair is integral to an object’s history. Working on the wheel, I form scarred porcelain vessels that carry traces of fracture and healing. Originating in response to a friend’s diagnosis with breast cancer, the work has evolved into a public project across four UK cities. For Wells Art Contemporary, 100 vessels are installed dispersed within a chapel of Wells Cathedral, forming a contemplative presence that engages the viewer through fragility, repair, and hope.
