3D-print waste PLA bio-plastic, steel pins, and on wood panel

2026

My practice bridges industrial chance and obsessive human precision. Using waste 3D-print PLA bio-plastic ‘purge’, the arbitrary gradients expelled during colour transitions, I treat these synthetic fossils of the digital age as rare scientific specimens. Through a methodology borrowing from 19th-century entomological archiving, each fragment is catalogued and pinned onto structured grids. Suspended on fine pins, they cast shifting shadow networks that morph with the light. Rather than approaching waste through shame or literalism, this work reclaims human agency, inviting quiet reverence for industrial detritus and demonstrating how visual order can be salvaged from mass-manufacturing chaos.

Please note that delivery is not included in the price. Delivery costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. The delivery method and payment will be arranged with Parker Harris after purchase, and Parker Harris will contact all buyers once their purchase is complete. Buyers will not receive the work until after the exhibition at Wells Cathedral closes on Saturday 7 November 2026. Works can be collected from Wells Cathedral on Sunday 8 or Monday 9 November 2026, 9.30am–4.30pm.
