I'm a Cornwall-based artist making abstract paintings of the land, with the land. I gather and hand-processes earth pigments from specific sites around Cornwall and beyond, transforming raw material into layered surfaces that carry the trace of place. Shaped by landscapes where ancient ritual sites and abandoned industry meet coastal erosion and shifting tides, my work explores geology, memory and time through staining, erosion, layering and gestural mark-making. My work focuses mainly on Bodmin Moor and the Bude coastline - not representations of place alone, but physical extensions of it: surfaces made from geology, memory and residue of specific sites.
