My sculptures are an interplay between my formal architectural training and my affection for land and seascapes. I am drawn to forming circles in pieces, often pierced, as I want you to be pulled in, to try to see a way through, to feel the darkness within, and what might be on the other side. This references both human experience and the elements, forces which are equally strong. Intuitively hand painted glazes capture the fluidity of my thinking and reflect differing light conditions on land and on sea. I work out of my home studio in Bath, UK.
