I love poetry. I often feel that some poets are extraordinary painters. I try to create paintings that can be seen through the heart, just like poetry. Haijie’s practice is driven by the body, intuition, and emotion. She believes that in the face of sensation and personal mystery, common sense and logic fail. Her work reveals the solitude and melancholy of a rapidly changing world. The urban scenes evoke liminal spaces between reality and her inner world. Beyond the painting, invisible people come and go: some wait here, others drift away. Everyone is just passing through.
Please note that delivery is not included in the price. Delivery costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. The delivery method and payment will be arranged with Parker Harris after purchase, and Parker Harris will contact all buyers once their purchase is complete. Buyers will not receive the work until after the exhibition at Wells Cathedral closes on Saturday 7 November 2026. Works can be collected from Wells Cathedral on Sunday 8 or Monday 9 November 2026, 9.30am–4.30pm.
