My painting is like a diary of paint and marks over time, memories, feelings and a sense of place.
In this work, the colours and canvas pieces are an integral and physical memento of family and daily toil that has lodged in my psyche and emerged in paint and the materiality of life.
Whilst I work through a series of painting studies, often these reside away from my daily painting as my painting emerges and tells its own story.
