19 x 21 x 0.2 cm Silverpoint on prepared ground, 1 minute x 16 2026 My practice has long used drawing in different forms to explore relationships with digital media. Current work centres on drawing as a mode of attention that resists the frictionless image production of generative AI. Working primarily in silverpoint and pencil, I draw from AI-generated source images, using traditional media’s resistance and materiality to interrogate what is lost when images are produced without the friction of making. Subjects are chosen that expose the models' limits, such as hands, alongside cultural archetypes and viral imagery. They are rendered through a practice which demands commitment and sustained engagement from both maker and viewer.
