Carali McCall (b. Canada, 1981) is an artist whose practice centres on drawing and performance, extending into sculpture, moving image, photography, sound and writing. Her work explores materiality, the body, endurance and our relationship to land. Through acts of movement and stillness, such as running through fields, drawing long continuous lines, or holding rocks gathered from the landscape — McCall considers the body as both material and measure. Moving between live action and image, her work examines physical and conceptual thresholds, asking what it means to be human today.
