Earth Pigments and rust on linen
2024
I work with natural materials; primarily earth pigments bound by organic soya milk to natural fibre cloth such as linen, silk and cotton. I also encourage rust marks to develop through the pigment using scrap pieces of iron found on my walks. Working primarily in textiles, I learnt to sew as a child, making my own clothes, furnishings, and decorative pieces. Living on the Jurassic coast surrounded by the Dorset landscape, my work seeks to reflect the beauty I encounter daily on my walks and to raise awareness of the need to respect the natural world before it is lost.
Please note that delivery is not included in the price. Delivery costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. The delivery method and payment will be arranged with Parker Harris after purchase, and Parker Harris will contact all buyers once their purchase is complete. Buyers will not receive the work until after the exhibition at Wells Cathedral closes on Saturday 7 November 2026. Works can be collected from Wells Cathedral on Sunday 8 or Monday 9 November 2026, 9.30am–4.30pm.
