Sometimes the decisions happen during the process of making, but sometimes the decisions happen before.
Oftentimes the process involves laying out an image, and then adding to it or erasing from it in alternating sessions.
It’s the task of making it physical.
On this occasion I applied various materials onto paper and layered them again and again until an illusionistic space occurred and a figure appeared like in a Rorschach test, the suggestion of which I then chose to develop.
The title of the picture provides a clue to an evolving narrative.
