Mylar, electric fan and timer
630 x 170 x 170 cm
'Spacetime' breathes; each breath marking the passage of time as do our own breaths from birth to death. The material from which it is made points both forward and back in time as it is derived from the space-age foil that covers and protects humanity’s orbital telescopes - Hubble and James Webb - that search for light from the distant past. Visitors may consider their own relationship to time and movement, to being and becoming, as they experience 'Spacetime’s' slow rhythmic commentary on the passage of time.
Please note that delivery is not included in the price. Delivery costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. The delivery method and payment will be arranged with Parker Harris after purchase, and Parker Harris will contact all buyers once their purchase is complete. Buyers will not receive the work until after the exhibition at Wells Cathedral closes on Saturday 7 November 2026. Works can be collected from Wells Cathedral on Sunday 8 or Monday 9 November 2026, 9.30am–4.30pm.
