G. Tania Salha - Marginalised Matters

£750.00

Plaster, metal, aluminium, plastic, acrylics, oil paint

43 x 40 x 876 cm

Marginalised Matters asks what time feels like when the world is not paying attention. The 24 creatures exist across a visible spectrum — from those still holding still in survival, Tyrian red, to those fully turned to stone. Time is readable across their bodies: the longer they have lain there, the further the petrification has taken hold. The creatures' shell-like forms echo a distortion of the Murex, coloured with it's own blood. The work itself is a countdown, drawn from Augustine's question, it asks whose time is counted, and who is left to wait.

Please note that delivery is not included in the price. Delivery costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. The delivery method and payment will be arranged with Parker Harris after purchase, and Parker Harris will contact all buyers once their purchase is complete. Buyers will not receive the work until after the exhibition at Wells Cathedral closes on Saturday 7 November 2026. Works can be collected from Wells Cathedral on Sunday 8 or Monday 9 November 2026, 9.30am–4.30pm.
