Natural patinated steel
50 x 75 x 200cm
My installation responds to the theme of Time by considering it not as a measurable sequence, but as something embodied, accumulated, and continually transformed. An open, patinated steel coffin filled with rainwater becomes a vessel where past, present, and future coexist. Weathered steel bears traces of time, while water changes with rain, light, wind, and reflection. Rather than symbolising death, the work invites contemplation of healing, vulnerability, and renewal. Each encounter is unique, as visitors see themselves reflected alongside the surrounding landscape. Rather than explaining time, the installation allows it to unfold through material transformation and lived experience, inviting reflection.
