Handmade flax paper, black iron oxide, iron stands
122 x 10 x 732 cm
Nature registers the flow of time through the silent, unimpeded growth of mycelium, roots, thickets, and webs. Within this ancient sanctuary, that eternal rhythm is made tangible through delicate paper lace. The artwork becomes a living vessel for time, capturing the slow, macro-passage of the hours as shifting daylight transforms its cast shadows. Simultaneously, it breathes in the fleeting present, swaying gently in the wake of passing visitors. Here, the fragile networks of nature and human movement entwined, mapping the ephemeral moments of life onto the enduring stone of the cathedral.
Please note that delivery is not included in the price. Delivery costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. The delivery method and payment will be arranged with Parker Harris after purchase, and Parker Harris will contact all buyers once their purchase is complete. Buyers will not receive the work until after the exhibition at Wells Cathedral closes on Saturday 7 November 2026. Works can be collected from Wells Cathedral on Sunday 8 or Monday 9 November 2026, 9.30am–4.30pm.
