R1. Dario Tironi - Anthropocene Core Sample - Stratigraphy of the Self

£25,000.00

Epoxy resin, various materials

16 x 16 x 216 cm

This work, a 2-meter stratified cylinder cast in resin over two years, constitutes a physical core sample of a life. Each centimeter is a crystallization of geological time, not of layers of ice, but of daily debris—pocket scraps, food, and detritus. The work addresses Time as a dual entity: a massive, impartial accumulator of layers and a profoundly personal container for fragmented memory. Insignificant objects are frozen, fossilizing actions, emotions, and traces of life during that period. The accumulation is both personal testimony and an geological fossil.

Please note that delivery is not included in the price. Delivery costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. The delivery method and payment will be arranged with Parker Harris after purchase, and Parker Harris will contact all buyers once their purchase is complete. Buyers will not receive the work until after the exhibition at Wells Cathedral closes on Saturday 7 November 2026. Works can be collected from Wells Cathedral on Sunday 8 or Monday 9 November 2026, 9.30am–4.30pm.
