C1. Aga Kubish - The Shelter

£7,800.00

Textile-based installation incorporating linocut, Van Dyke printing and hand stitching.

280 × 280 cm

Time is present both in the making of the work and in the way it is experienced.

The Shelter developed slowly through manual processes - from time in the forest to carving, hand printing, and photographic techniques dependent on light and duration. The work evolved from a chaotic structure into an open, responsive form.

This continues in the viewer’s experience. What first appears complex becomes legible as connections emerge over time.

In dialogue with the screen - a fixed architectural element - the installation introduces a contrasting sense of time as fluid and unfolding, shaped by movement, perception and light.

Please note that delivery is not included in the price. Delivery costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. The delivery method and payment will be arranged with Parker Harris after purchase, and Parker Harris will contact all buyers once their purchase is complete. Buyers will not receive the work until after the exhibition at Wells Cathedral closes on Saturday 7 November 2026. Works can be collected from Wells Cathedral on Sunday 8 or Monday 9 November 2026, 9.30am–4.30pm.
